What is DT?
DT is the Temperature Difference between;
CHILLED WATER SUPPLY TEMPERATURE
AND
CHILLED WATER RETURN TEMPERATURE
When Dt Drops Below Design …
The System would have to operate deviating from the Design Intent;
•Chillers would not be able to run to its design capacity
•Equipment RUNHOUR would increase per RT of cooling
•Pumps would be working to design capacity despite reduction in actual cooling capacity produced
•Infra Piping would be carrying less capacity than it’s design
The entire plant and infrastructure operation would actually be
DE-RATED
